POSITION TITLE: Brand Manager

LOCATION: San Francisco (Financial District)

The Company seeks a Brand Manager, who will manage products from the idea stage to production.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage and direct one or more product lines from ideation to production.
    Includes providing direction to product development team in kid and retail trends, product niches and opportunities. Development of new product positioning, including product name, identification of features/benefits, play pattern, packaging direction etc. Establishing and tracking to strategic marketing objectives and P&L/ margin goals.
  • Develop and execute strategic marketing promotions/retail events.
    Including mass and specialty channel brand building tactics (POP, Events, Contests, Print and TV Advertising) and national partner promotions (e.g. Burger King, Kraft Foods)
  • Direct product and category research program:
    Directs research team to obtain and utilize product, trend, and competitive research information
  • Develop and direct the creative strategy.
    Including outside agencies (Advertising, PR, Promotions etc.)
  • Identify new product/category opportunities.
    Including development of 2 year marketing plan
  • Product and Marketing presentations to internal and external groups.
    Including product presentations to buyers, agencies and shareholders.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Candidate must possess 3-4 years of child-related, or consumer products, product management/marketing experience (Toy experience strongly preferred).
  • Product development experience.
  • Must have experience in a tangible three dimensional product; not just software, video or computer games.
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills; strong analytical skills
  • P&L or budget responsibility for a product or product line is a plus.
  • Small company experience.
  • Good sense of humor

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor's degree in business or marketing required; MBA strongly preferred.
