Page & Turnbull is an award-winning architectural design, planning, and preservation firm that brings together architects, conservators, architectural historians, and planners in service of our country’s cultural resources. Our mission is ‘to imagine change in historic environments,’ because we value historic buildings and places, and we want to imbue them with new life. SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Position Overview: Page & Turnbull seeks a creative and nimble team player that thrives on creatively producing under pressure, strategic thinking and playing well with others -- all with grace and humor.  Did we mention humor?

The Marketing Manager is crucial to winning meaningful work for the talented Architects, Historians, Planners and Researchers who bring Page & Turnbull’s projects to life. This is a diverse, hands-on, deadline-driven position that requires strategic thinking, initiative, and playing well with others. The Marketing Manager balances daily systems, organizational tasks, and marketing responsibilities all with this goal in mind: Communicate the essence of the firm and our work, find what is compelling about each project, and seize each opportunity to promote that story.

Sink your teeth into:
Proposals--Respond to RFQ/RFPs, working in tandem with the firm leadership to compile a submittal that will get us short listed for the interview! Assist the team with the development of the overall market strategy and message including some writing and editing of text. This position takes the full responsibility for the design production, printing, binding and shipping of the actual proposal.

Interview Support— Prepping a team including:  production of PowerPoint presentations, boards, and leave-behinds to arm principals and design staff with information, inspiration and structure so they can do their best while making it look easy.

Marketing Communications Support—Work with the Marketing & Business Development team to help us carry forth Page & Turnbull’s message with just the right imagery and prose, often using your proactive sleuthing skills to procure content.

Media Support — Coordinate efforts with third-party strategic communications consultant to graphically support us in pitching news items and publications, maintain and update existing social media platforms,  potentially launch new platforms, solicit ideas, write and coordinate email marketing campaigns, assist with website maintenance and updates, and above all, follow-up.

Photography—Collaborate with project designers and principals to determine overall ‘story’ and identify desired shots, coordinate with client and consultant teams to share costs, and work  with photographers to translate our vision photographically.

Developing and Maintaining systems and resources—Marketing is the keeper of vast quantities of information, assets, schedules and deadlines.  The Marketing Manager is the go-to person, with even the most obscure material available at a moment’s notice, a system for accomplishing tasks efficiently, and a method for answering any question.

  • Provide marketing support to regional offices (Los Angeles & Sacramento)
  • Maintain and update all marketing collateral
  • Manage, design, and execute award submissions
  • Provide conference and workshop support
