POSITION TITLE:           CEO-President
REPORTING TO:             Current CEO-President, who is stepping down as President
LOCATION:                 Novato, CA 94949. A new office will be opening in San Francisco, or along the 880 Corridor for easier commute purposes and client meetings.
OUR CLIENT:               CSW/ST2CSW/Stuber-Stroeh Engineering Group

Established in 1954, CSW/ST2 is one of the largest Civil Engineering and related discipline firms in the North Bay and is known for our creative, cost-effective designs and practical, workable solutions to design challenges. Clients include residential and commercial developers, local and national corporations, public and private primary schools, colleges and universities, medical and research institutions, architects, homeowners, and municipal, state and federal agencies.

We seek a CEO-President to continue to lead and grow the company in the changing and challenging consulting environment that defines the twenty first century.  We expect the new CEO-President to have significant latitude in defining the services offered, the degree of specialization, and defining the operating and financial goal for the company and the next generation of managers and employees.

This is a salaried, full time position with benefits.

The position is posted here:

Position Overview: Provide outstanding leadership by creating new ideas, developing client relationships, providing competitive services, while ensuring a financially successful company.

Duties and responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Establish and maintain the annual strategic financial objectives, goals and budget.
  • Develop business development plan and budget.
  • Grow revenues, reaching out to CSW’s internal network of clients and contacts, as well as establishing new relationships and potential revenue sources.

  • Develop and support appropriate new business solutions from conception to deployment as necessary to keep CSW|ST2 relevant to its mission, its clients, and its employees.
  • Increase and maintain the overall company utilization rate.

  • While all the managers at CSW|ST2 have historically continued to manage projects, the new CEO-President may determine that her/his role does not need to include active project management. However, the opportunity to remain active in engineering work and continue actively participating in project work while maintaining overall responsibility for company growth and financial success exists.
  • Have the ability to articulate concepts, and provide a liaison between clients and staff, leaving the client the impression that you have not stepped away after winning a job, but letting the project managers/designers do what they do best, including client coordination and management.
  • Develop a five year plan for the company’s vision, growth and profit.
  • Work with Al Cornwell on all aspects of a successful transition plan.
