POSITION TITLE: Technical Implementation Manager/Project Manager

REPORTING TO: Manager of Implementation

LOCATION: San Ramon, CA

OUR CLIENT:

The company provides Claims Administration and Risk Management System software, implementation and services.

They are a fast growing, high-energy company in the San Francisco Bay Area and have won recent awards for their successes. They are looking for motivated and talented people who enjoy working with high profile clients, in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Due to their substantial growth and success, the company is hiring a new Technical Implementation Manager. A qualified candidate for this position will need to be an expert in the installation, implementation and quality assurance of enterprise application software. S/he will need to have a proven track record of completing this type of process on time, on budget for every project, and an understanding and experience working on billable projects.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

·Solely responsible for complex (6 to 9 months) software implementations from kick off meeting to turnover to support.

  • Lead requirement-gathering sessions and write both functional and technical specifications to be used directly by developers.
  • Write technical specifications, which include: functional overview, data requirements, interface requirements, data mapping, new screens, processing requirements, business rules etc.
  • Develop detailed project plans and ensure that they are maintained and adhered to.
  • Perform all data mapping requirements for data conversion and ensure that data conversions are completed correctly and on time.
  • Perform verification of data conversion, including balancing of financials.
  • Coordinate and facilitate all training efforts needed for the implementation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve all technical and infrastructure issues arising from implementing a browser-based product on various J2EE compliant platforms.
  • Assist clients with the configuration of the application based on their workflow and business needs.
  • Test all software prior to delivery to client and resolve all issues that may arise from that testing.


    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Minimum of five years of experience with independently leading and executing the implementation and deployment of enterprise application software for external clients. (browser based product preferred)
  • Hands on experience with handling difficult external client relations.
  • Strong analytical skills with an aptitude for solving business problems with both technical and non-technical solutions
  • Ability to multitask
  • Claims management or insurance software experience a plus.
  • Hands on technical knowledge with databases (SQL, Oracle, Sybase); ability to write scripts a must.

    EDUCATION:
    Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent. Technical degree preferred.
