OUR CLIENT: Luxury brand home furnishings

The company is well known for selling luxury brand home furnishings.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • The Company Image Assessment - Review the existing graphics and ad campaign in conjunction with the guidelines of the Brand Guide Book. Solicit proposals for a new "graphic image" campaign to include, but not be limited to, new ads, new images for the website and interactive screens, new format for The Company News, etc.

  • The Company Publications - Continue to produce editions of The Company News and Resource Directory within budget and inclusive of a new "graphic image" at the same quality level of previous issues. The Company Marketing Director will cooperate with showrooms and manufacturers as well as other potential advertisers to create new opportunities.

  • The Company Public Relations - Create new partnerships and strengthen existing press relationships to increase awareness of The Company, specific showrooms including their products/manufacturers, and new community events and partnerships. Publish a list to the showroom community of press partnerships, The Company press coverage and calendar listings of all The Company events.

  • The Company Community Partnerships - The Company will foster new partnerships and produce new events with appropriate community partners. The Company Marketing Director will assist The Company Director of Events in targeting new community partners - for example, the real estate community, ASID National, the Junior League, etc. The Company Marketing Director will be responsible for public relations and printed material associated with events. The Company events will be produced by The Company Director of Events.

  • The Company's continued interest in studying the Consumer - The Company may produce a consumer event in 2008. If this plan solidifies, The Company Marketing Director will work with The Company Tenant Advisory Group, The Company Director of Events and the SVP of Showrooms to identify target groups, solicit appropriate media partnerships, create appropriate print material, etc.

  • The Company will strengthen its Partnerships with the Design Trade and Industry Associations - The Company's Marketing Director and Director of Events will meet with design industry groups to solicit their participation in The Company events, to host industry meetings and events in The Company showrooms and public areas and to create new industry events.

  • The Company will produce a yearly Marketing Plan for publication to the showrooms - The Company's Marketing Director will finalize The Company Marketing Plan that will be distributed to The Company showrooms and industry partners. The Company Marketing Plan will include key dates for advertising deadlines in The Company publications as well as other calendar events.

  • The Company will adhere to the current approved budget - The Company Marketing Director will work to stay within the budget parameters approved by the owners, will process all invoices and purchase orders according to The Company Guidelines, will coordinate with the SVP of Showroom Relations the production of monthly and quarterly reports (and other reports as needed).

  • The Company will "create a Company Culture that is integrated, supportive and solution-oriented." - The Company Marketing Director will set an example for other staff members to follow that supports the Company Culture and will communicate orally with staff members whenever possible.

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

    Minimum of five years experience in marketing and branding; at least ten years over all business experience.
    Experience writing, implementing, monitoring and measuring full scale marketing plan.
    Experience in luxury or premium brands is a plus.
    Retail marketing experience is a plus.
    Demonstrated success in leading, mentoring and managing small staff.
    Experience managing a budget, ideally over $500k.
    Experience sourcing, selecting and managing vendors and vendor relationships.

    EDUCATION:

    Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Merchandising, Communications, Graphic Design, Business Administration is a plus.
