Lisa Locke
Education: Bachelor of Arts, Criminal Justice, University of California, Santa Barbara
Bachelor of Arts, Sociology, University of California, Santa Barbara
Masters Business Administration/Marketing, California State University, Sacramento
Experience: Lisa's general work background has spanned many industries and positions including music, retail, wholesale, manufacturing, construction, sales, office management, hospitality, engineering, health care, consumer products, etc.
Lisa started as an in-house recruiter and Regional Sales Manager for a sales and marketing department in the wholesale distribution arm of the pre-recorded music industry. Then she moved to retained executive search in 1996, and worked for a generalist firm, conducting senior search engagements in many industries, and all functions within the client companies. Lisa was the Operations Manager as well, where she managed all facets of the executive search process, as well as daily operations of the search firm. At Korn Ferry Futurestep, the Web-enabled, middle-management arm of the world's largest retained international search firm, Lisa also conducted senior search engagements in many industries.
After starting Locke and KEY, Lisa decided that she did not want to restrict her company to only senior level searches. She feels that her firm can help companies and organizations with all of their recruiting needs, not only the senior levels. Lisa has successfully conducted many searches over the years, from CEOs to Office Managers, from the food and beverage industry to high-tech and functional areas, from operations to sales and marketing.
Always eager to educate, Lisa was a faculty member, teaching undergraduate Marketing and Management classes at the University of Phoenix. She also volunteered as a tutor for the Jamestown Community Center in the Mission District of San Francisco. She is involved in the following organizations: The Alliance of CEO's (www.allianceofceos.com/), The Alternative Board (www.thealternativeboard.com), Bay Area Recruiters' Association (www.sfbara.org), National Association of Women Business Owners (www.nawbo-sf.org/) and Daughters of the American Revolution (www.dar.org/). She also donates blood to the Red Cross every eight weeks (www.redcross.org/), Jingletown Arts and Business Community (jingletown.org/).
Lisa enjoys the outdoors, including running, hiking, cycling, backpacking, tennis, photography, growing food. She also loves to cook, read, travel the globe, and meet new people.
