Plath & Company seeks to fill an Assistant Project Manager position to assist the Project Manager in overseeing multiple projects from inception to completion.

This is a permanent, salaried, full time position with benefits.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Assistant Project Manager (APM) will assist the Project Manager in overseeing multiple projects from inception to completion.
TRAINING will be provided, and you will be involved in helping with the following, and more…
Bids/estimates
Project planning
Project budgeting, job costing
Construction contracts
Permits/licenses
Construction documents
Use of Timberline database
Deal with Drawings/layouts/plans
Change orders
Schedules/ tracking timelines
Coordinate with superintendents, trades, architects, engineers, vendors, etc.
Cost containment
Material deliveries
Safety/risk issues
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Minimum of three years of increasingly responsible post-graduate professional working experience.
Any work experience or exposure or classes related to the following is a plus: Construction, project management, architecture, craft or trade work (such as furniture building), etc.
Use of some type of customer and/or accounting database. Plath uses Timberline (now Sage).

Must have excellent, natural organizational skills.
Excellent/advanced Excel skills.
Strong skills with Microsoft Word, and all parts of Outlook.
Excellent command of the English language.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor’s degree is a mandatory requirement. Construction, Architecture, Business, or related classes or majors are a plus.
