We are seeking a Bookkeeper/Project Coordinator to help us manage our continued financial growth.

This is a permanent, salaried, full time position with benefits.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Bookkeeper/Project Coordinator will handle all of the bookkeeping and administrative functions for the company’s construction projects, from start to finish.
The position is about 75% accounting/bookkeeping and 25% administrative/project coordination.
The responsibilities for this fast-paced position include, but are not limited to:
  • Corporate Accounts Payable
  • Enter invoices and monitor contracts to Accounts Payable
  • Generate Accounts Receivable for respective jobs/projects
  • Prepare invoices for weekly approvals
  • Process payroll (we use Paychex)
  • Reconcile all credit card statements
  • Post payments and cut checks
  • Assist in reconciling allowances
  • Create and review budget reports, explaining any overages
  • Generate all subcontract agreements and collect proofs of insurance
  • Enter Estimates in to Sage 100
  • Create job book from Estimating
  • Keep all permits up to date
  • Research/order job materials and fixtures
  • Data entry of invoices, credit card receipts, etc.
  • Organize files on Server
  • Paper filing


EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Must have 3-5 years of verifiable accounting and administration experience
Excellent MS Excel and Word experience.
Experience with Accounting Software. Jeff King uses Sage 100.
Construction related industry experience is a plus.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
Any/all accounting related education is a plus.

The company has about 30 people, but most of them work in the field on construction projects. About six people work in the office.
