The company seeks a Quantity Surveyor-Cost Manager-Estimator. We have an immediate opening for an experienced, dynamic individual to continue our phenomenal growth in the Washington, DC area.

This is a permanent, salaried, full time position with benefits.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
You will be responsible for design phase estimating (especially conceptual), recruiting and management of staff, and assisting with business development on a variety of high profile commercial and institutional projects.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
We are looking for someone with proven leadership skills and the ability to grow and manage an office, while producing the highest quality professional product possible.
Minimum of 10 years related experience in large institutional projects.
Strong knowledge of MS Excel is required.
Current knowledge of the DC construction market, project management and/or claims analysis experience a plus.
The right candidate must be able to train and mentor staff in all facets of estimating procedure and methodology, review estimates, and manage the workflow of the estimating staff.
Must also be able to prepare and review conceptual estimates on multi-million dollar projects using past experience, historical data, and parametric estimating methodologies.
Must be able to assess risk and adjust prices accordingly; as well as advise our clients on risk mitigation, value engineering, market trends and otherwise act as our clients' cost advisor.
Must be able and willing to assist marketing department in business development activities.
Outstanding communication and presentation skills, superior technical expertise in all types of estimates, and ability to manage the workflow and profitability of estimating teams are required for this position.
EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Construction Management, or related field, or Chartered Quantity Surveyor
Industry specific certification (CPE, PMP, CCE or similar), is a plus.
