DEXTER estate landscapes is located at the north end of the Napa Valley and has been building fine gardens in Napa and Sonoma Counties since 1985. DEXTER estate landscapes is seeking an Estimator / Account Manager to join their diverse team of working professionals. The primary responsibilities of this position are project estimation, plant procurement and scope management.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We realize that every interested candidate might not have all of the desired experience, but here is what we are looking for in terms of experience and skills… the more you have, the better!
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
New Project/ Plan Triage:
Format spreadsheets for all new proposals and see them through to completion.
Complete take-offs, attend site visits, obtain pricing from vendors and communicate with site reps as needed to complete bid.
Brief appropriate site supervisor on project once it has been awarded.
Plant Sourcing, Broker Relations:
Source plant orders and coordinate with site supervisors to schedule deliveries.
Track plant orders against plant lists/estimates.
Schedule layouts with supervisors and landscape architects.
Other Industry Relations:
Landscape Architects – communication during plant sourcing and layout phases, etc.
General contractors – quick turn-around on change orders and extras estimates, scheduling material deliveries, site meetings, etc.
Subcontractors as needed – masons, truckers, grading contractors, etc.
Administrative:
Review all invoicing with a critical eye for accuracy.
Update monthly calendar with meetings, plant deliveries and layouts as needed.
Manage/update company website using a Wix.com platform (a non-HTML based website template platform).
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
Five to seven years of increasingly responsible professional office experience after college graduation.
Skill Set:
Highly proficient in the basic Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
Experience using Google Docs is a plus.
Experience with AutoCAD or SketchUp is a plus.
Excellent verbal and written communication, punctuation and grammar skills.
Extremely detail oriented.
Good eye for graphic design.
Good head for numbers is appreciated.
Self-starter / self-motivated.
Pro-active problem-solver.
Strong work ethic.
Strong project management skills.
Strong ownership and follow-through.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, and keep track of critical details.
Ability to approach challenges with a positive attitude.
Construction related and/or project management experience is a plus.
Bi-lingual in the Spanish language is a plus.
