Due to our continued growth, IFTI seeks an Operations Manager to help the company to acquire, support, manage and retain customers.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Position Overview:
The Operations Manager will have the day to day operational responsibilities associated with managing a team, and supporting the company as a whole, conducting activities which meet the company’s growth targets to acquire, support, manage and retain customers. S/he will be process oriented and have strong natural abilities with numbers, budgets, etc.

The final candidate will receive thorough day cross-training in IFTI’s product/service offering.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Managerial Work Manage a team of six-seven people, including Project Manager, Technical Writer, Admin.
Recruits, hires, trains, evaluates, and supervises all personnel reporting to this position.
Conducts performance reviews of all personnel reporting to this position in a manner consistent with the procedures established by IFTI.
Provides overall management, administrative and technical direction for Operations Department.
Works directly and communicates daily with Account Managers.
Orchestrates all Operations activities to ensure that all projects are completed in accordance to the scope of work, specifications, schedule and budget.  Includes interfacing with clients, owner’s representatives, general contractors, sub-inspectors, etc. when required.
Ensures that Safety Rules and Regulations are adhered to in every project.
Participates in all Operations Department meetings.
Plans, presents and executes department’s Goals and Objectives towards the achievement of the company’s Strategic Objective.
Learns and represents all company policies, procedures and systems.
Leads and manages by example.
Controls costs and makes recommendations for cost savings to Director of Operations.
Evaluates the quantification, performance and results related to the department and its function within the company.
Plans workday for optimum effectiveness.
Recommends, develops and implements improved systems, policies and procedures for the department and its function.
Assumes additional responsibilities and/or assignments as directed by the Director of Operations.

Tactical Work / Position-Specific Standards:
Implements corporate policies, procedures and organizational structure for the Operations Department within the framework of corporate policy.
Assists in the establishment and insures compliance of the Operation Department’s short-term and long-range goals with overall corporate objectives.
Plans, staffs and supervises all assigned work unit activities through subordinate team members to insure a cohesive operational unit.
Provide administrative and technical direction in negotiating contracts, change orders, etc. as required.
Provide advice, guidance, and direction to subordinate team members toward their professional development.
Oversees all Service Delivery operations, inspecting the workflow from the beginning of all the process to the end.
Coordinate and confer with professional staff to resolve operating problems and difficulties, and authorize department operational procedures within corporate framework.

EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
We realize that every interested candidate might not have all of the desired experience, but here is what we are looking for in terms of experience and skills… the more you have, the better!
We seek an excellent performer who has:
Minimum of seven years of successful professional office work experience, with at least three as an effective manager.
At least two years of direct customer contact… sales, customer service, etc.
Solid experience of recruiting, hiring, training and properly releasing employees.
Strong technology experience; ability to utilize existing technology for maximum benefits, including ability to learn new software quickly.
Excellent operational process skills… assigning work flow, streamlining processes, increasing efficiencies.
Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.
Strong CRM experience, ideally Salesforce.
Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Suite…especially Excel.
Strong natural affinity for numbers; experience with budgeting.
Professional services and/or service industry experience preferred.
Construction related knowledge is a plus.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:

College education preferred (but not required, for a strong candidate), ideally with a business major.
