The company products bring an unprecedented level of performance and simplicity to the growing need for traffic monitoring on freeways, arterials and parking garages, and traffic signal controls at intersections.
A leader in ultra low-power wireless sensor networking, the company has developed a family of vehicle detection products. Wireless sensor networking is a breakthrough technology that combines sophisticated networking software with highly integrated radio and sensor chips to enable sensing applications on a scale - and at a cost- unthinkable until now.
With this product, it is now possible to deploy vehicle detection at a much higher density and at a fraction of the initial installation and maintenance costs of currently prevalent technologies such as inductive loops, video cameras, and radar.
The company seeks a Director of Product Support to manage the product support group and manage large product deployments.
SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
We are currently a technology start-up with accelerated growth; as such, every team member has a number of responsibilities. Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Working with development engineering to write, execute and document QA tests plans
· Developing an EQA lab and set of processes for all of all systems and subsystems
· Document, track and resolve bugs found in new product development testing using standard bug tracking software
· Develop scripts to automate testing
· Document, track and resolve bugs found in systems deployed in the field
· Derive, Document, and implement compartmentalized "black box" testing for both Hardware and Software
· Setup and monitor long term testing
· Parse system data and discover inconsistencies
· Administer Bugzilla, managing users and release versions
· Put together test systems, with different hardware and software versions
· Create Matrix compatibility charts
· Interface with Customer service to reproduce bugs found in the field
· Define failure states in both hardware and software
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:
· Strong background in Software/Hardware testing
· Experience with bug tracking systems and automated testing tools
· Experience with networked based applications using TCP/IP
· Working experience with Linux, Unix, and Windows based operating systems and scripting languages
· Experience with all basic Unix command line applications: Tar, SSH, SCP, TELNET, VI, FTP, Ping, DNS
· Experience with RF systems helpful
· Experience with version control system such as CVS needed
· Knowledge of basic LAN/WAN configurations (Hardware/Software)
· Able to work comfortably in a command line shell environment

EDUCATION:
Technical Degree or Certification (Does not need to be an EE or CS). Can be Associate's or Bachelor's.
