POSITION TITLE: Account Manager

REPORTING TO: Operations Manager

LOCATION: Concord, CA

OUR CLIENT:
The company performs concrete slab moisture testing and inspections of commercial facilities for the purpose of reducing the risk of moisture related flooring failures. The company provides the most comprehensive and reliable National Certified Diagnostic Service (Concrete Slab Moisture Testing and Floor Failure Analysis) available that sets the standard for excellence and integrity in our industry. We provide national independent testing and certification of moisture-related issues, from pre-floor covering concrete slab testing to post-floor covering root cause failure analysis and recommendations for cost-effective solutions.

The Company seeks an Account Manager to assist in successfully achieving company goals and objectives, by performing daily marketing activities, providing excellent customer service, and accomplishing various administrative and project management duties.

SCOPE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Account Manager will assist in project management, operations, customer service, administrative tasks, marketing efforts and data entry. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Marketing:

    o Follows National Account Vendor Process to get The Company listed in potential client's construction specifications as the National Account Vendor.
    o Lead Conversion - communicates well with existing and potential clients to generate leads for new moisture testing projects. Follows up on pending proposals with existing and potential clients.
    o Identifies prospects from current clients, referral leads, and other sources.
    o Courteous service to potential client; answers questions regarding testing and inspection services, prices, delivery times, and credit/financing arrangements.

  • Customer Service:

    o Client Relationship Building.
    o Maintain High Level of Customer Satisfaction.
    o Maintain client status reports on active or upcoming projects - Project Tracking.
    o Ability to provide information, ideas and opinions in speech and writing - convey ideas clearly and concisely.
    o Expresses self diplomatically in both speech and demeanor.

  • Teamwork:

    o Ability to adjust to the changing demands of the job, project or team.
    o Offers flexibility and willingness to adapt and do what is necessary to accommodate business trends.
    o Introduce ways to increase productivity that will benefit the team.
    o Positive outlook.
    o High level of professionalism.

  • Project Coordination:

    o Organizing, Planning, and scheduling.
    o Follow up and tracking projects (tight window of opportunity)
    o Mange information flow in a timely manner - (scope of work, moisture test plan, notification memos, equipment needs, etc….)
    o Multi task - (typically 20-30 project per month)
    o Responsible for sourcing, selecting, and training Field Technicians.
    § Building positive long term relationships.
    o Precise Communication with all parties involved with project schedule. (field technician, commissioner, on-site contacts)
    o Tracking Equipment Inventory.
    o Maintain testing schedule: "On Time - Every Time".
    o Quick thinker -make sound and proper decisions by drawing on professional expertise.
    o Problem solving by well considered and thought out decisions.
    o Anticipate changes or needs, set new priorities, follow through and meet deadlines.

  • Data Entry:

    o Diligent and accurate reporting.
    o Analytical - Do the test results meet the "test of reasonability"?

    EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • At least seven years of full time, progressively responsible office and administrative experience.
    · At least two years of Account Management or Customer Service related experience.
    · Construction (flooring related) industry experience a plus. Retail experience helpful.
    · Excellent computer skills and experience with entire Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
    · Excellent project management skills.
    · Excellent organizational skills.
    · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
